Meet Mohamed, a Senior Investment Manager at GenAfrica, entrusted with the responsibilities of portfolio management, investment analysis, and monitoring capital markets. Appointed as Investment Manager in November 2017, Mohamed boasts over 15 years of progressive, professional experience across various domains, including asset management, corporate finance, Islamic banking, treasury management, and investment research. Mohamed’s journey with GenAfrica began following his tenure at Stanlib Asset Managers S.A., where he served as a portfolio manager. In this role, he was responsible for developing and executing investment strategies for individual and institutional clients in fixed income, equities, and money markets. Prior to his time at Stanlib, Mohamed held roles in Treasury and asset liability management at Gulf African Bank. He also served as an investment analyst at Afrika Investment Bank. His comprehensive knowledge and expertise are underscored by his practicing certificate as a full member of ICIFA under the Investments & Financial Analysts Acts No. 13 of 2015. Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Degree from Egerton University, and he is a CFA charter holder and a proud member of the CFA East Africa. His diverse skill set and extensive experience position him as a valuable asset to the GenAfrica team, contributing to the success of our clients across different asset classes.
